Local Futures is a registered charity. Our legal name is the International Society for Ecology and Culture (EIN 94-3128274). We are a California-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit governed by bylaws adopted in 1991 and overseen by a Board of Directors.

Our work is funded primarily by individual donors and foundations, together with income from publications, lectures, and writing.
